Christopher Lambert Biography
Christopher Lambert was born Christophe Guy Dénis Lambert
on March 29, 1957 in Long Island, New York. to French parents, Christopher
is the son of a United Nations financial expert. When he was two years
old, his family made the move back to Europe. There, Christopher was
enrolled in Swiss boarding schools, due to his parents heavy traveling
schedule.
He first became interested in acting at the age of twelve
after participating in a school play. He has worked at the London Stock
Exchange, and also served in the French military for a year to please his
father. Later, Christopher was accepted at the Paris Conservatoire, but
left after only two years
His big break came when he auditioned for Hugh Hudson for
the leading role as John Clayton in the international hit "Greystoke,
The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes." That role vaulted him into
the public eye. In 1986 he became involved with Russell Mulcahy who cast
the young star as the immortal Connor MacLeod in the very first Highlander
Movie along side veteran actor Sean Connery who played his mentor
Ramirez. Lambert would reprise his role 4 more times over the next
15 years, his latest being the 2000 release of Highlander : Endgame with
series star Adrian Paul. Christopher's next two projects waiting for
release are the action thriller Pointmen and Vecintorix(Druids).
